What THV Does
Interesting writing instruments selected for their history, character, craftsmanship, and potential.
Careful repair whenever practical, with attention to original materials and construction.
Names, inscriptions, packaging, ephemera, and ownership clues are treated as part of the object—not disposable clutter.
Featured Work
A dated Christmas 1928 case inscription gives this Peter Pan Pen a story to preserve. A new sac, its original nib, and donor parts are recorded in the restoration file.
A matched 1930s Sheaffer pen and pencil, both personalized “MARTHA OBETZ,” survive with their original cases. The Vacuum-Fil pen is being preserved while its history is researched.
A vintage Waterman with a replacement sac and another chance to write. The repair is part of its ongoing story.
